Yoga that feels Good. Community that feels real.
A cozy, real-life yoga space for humans who want calm, reconnection, and a moment to breathe.
Come as you are, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Hi I’m Janae and welcome to The Gratitude Practice
We’re a small, woman-owned yoga space in Idaho Falls offering gentle, grounding, community-centered classes.
My mission is to create a nervous-system-friendly space where you can move, breathe, and reconnect with yourself at your own pace.
All of our classes are trauma-informed and designed to feel safe, supportive, and adaptable for real life and real bodies.
You don’t need experience, flexibility, or a certain kind of story to belong here, just a willingness to show up for yourself and stay curious.
About my approach
I wanted to take some time to introduce what you can expect when coming to a class with me at The Gratitude Practice. I like to keep a relaxed environment and create time to connect with students a bit before we jump into the practice. You won’t find a lot of stark severe quiet meditations or strict adherence to any yoga philosophies or pose sequences in my classes. You can expect me to offer time at the beginning of a class where you can share how you are feeling physically or mentally and we can then build the class around your needs. However, you are never required to share and are always encouraged to participate at whatever level you want from class to class.
All movement and meditation practices follow Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga from the Justice Resource Center models. You can find more specifics about that here. A general breakdown of these principles is shared authentic experiences, invitational language, present moment experience, Interoceptive language, choice-making, and non-coercion.
You can learn more about me, my teaching history, and my credentials here.
